The Logic: Past Perfect
Active Voice
Had Done ItThe Subject had completed the action before.
Sub + had + V3 + Obj
"The team had finished the project."
Passive Voice
Had Been DoneWe insert been. 'Had' stays 'had' for everyone.
Obj + had + BEEN + V3
"The project had been finished by the team."
Rule 1: Always 'Had'
Past Perfect is easy. No was/were needed. Use had for Singular AND Plural.
Rule 2: Insert 'Been'
This is the key marker.
Had + V3 → Had + Been + V3.
Rule 3: V3 Stays V3
Active voice already uses V3 (Past Participle), so you don't need to change the verb!
